Born in Eindhoven as the youngest of eight, Marjan Strijbosch’s early life was shaped by her family’s emigration attempt to Canada in the 1960s. After returning to the Netherlands at the age of 17, Marjan faced significant challenges in building her future.
Her journey took an unexpected turn when, during her pregnancy, she discovered a talent for fashion design. Creating clothes for her daughter sparked a passion, and soon there was high demand for her unique designs. Within a year, Marjan earned professional diplomas and went on to open her own children’s clothing store, Lolly Pop, specializing in her self-designed communion dresses.
Marjan Strijbosch’s success continued to flourish as she expanded her fashion empire with the launch of Jaguar, which she later sold, along with her exclusive designs under Jaguar Creations. Her influence in the fashion world also led her to become the oldest Dutch client of renowned designer Roberto Cavalli, with whom she developed a personal, almost familial relationship.
Marjan’s life is defined by her relentless work ethic and determination to succeed. Beyond fashion, she remains actively engaged in her atelier, and she is involved in the (re)construction and interior design of luxury homes and apartments.
In 2017, Marjan found her true love in Gerhard, and the couple has since enjoyed their happily ever after.
